We are a small studio, not a data company. We collect the minimum we need to print your order, ship it, and stay in touch only if you ask us to. Here is exactly what that means.

Who we are
Tail & Bark Studio ("we", "us") is a business based at ul. Mała 12, 03-739 Warsaw, Poland. For any privacy question, write to privacy@tailbark.com. We are the data controller for the information described here under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
- Order information — your name, shipping & billing address, email, and phone number, so we can make and deliver your order.
- Payment information — processed entirely by our payment provider (Shopify checkout). We never see or store your full card number.
- Account information — if you create an account, your email and order history.
- Newsletter — your email, only if you opt in. Unsubscribe in one click, any time.
- Order personalization — the pet name you enter to personalise your item, stored with your order so we can make it.
- Contact messages — your name, email and message when you write to us, kept only as long as needed to resolve your query.
How we use it
To process and ship your order, provide customer support, honour your statutory rights, send order updates, and — only with your consent — send our newsletter. We do not sell your data. Ever.
Our legal bases
We rely on: performance of a contract (making, shipping and supporting your order), our legal obligations (tax and accounting records), our legitimate interest (answering your messages and preventing fraud), and your consent (the newsletter — withdrawable at any time).
Who we share it with
Only the partners that make fulfilment possible: our payment processor, our shipping carriers (InPost, DPD, GLS, DHL), our email provider, and our hosting provider. Each handles your data under its own GDPR-compliant terms, and only for the purpose we engaged them.
Some of these providers (for example Shopify, or our email and hosting providers) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as legally required for tax and accounting (typically five years under Polish law). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data; object to processing; or request portability. Email privacy@tailbark.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish Data Protection Authority (UODO).
Cookies
Essential cookies always run: they remember your bag, your language and your login session. If we switch on analytics or advertising cookies, they load only after you accept them in the cookie banner — decline, and nothing but the essential cookies is set. You can change your choice at any time.
